Hi, I'm Kim
WHERE I COME FROM
Children have been my passion throughout my entire adult life. I have always been a strong advocate through school, foster care and church. I have been married to my husband, Mark, for 35 years. We have nine children, fostered 30+ children and blessed with 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. All of the children we have fostered along with eight children and eight grandchildren have attended or are currently attending Buncombe County Schools in the Enka District.

Kim Poteat, Conservative, Parent, Educator, Deacon, Candidate for Buncombe County School Board Enka District, passionately believes in individual educational excellence for ALL children and Parental Voice and Rights in their children's education.

I am running for the Enka seat on the Buncombe County School Board. My 15+ years' experience and training as a substitute teacher and a homeschool educator will benefit you and your children in my understanding of what is needed in our schools. I am passionate about the educational opportunities for all of our children to not only succeed but thrive! The success of our children is primary.
